In the last few months, a variety of new and updated resources on scientific publication were released. Some of the resources are geared more toward authors and researchers, while others will be most useful for medical writers and publication planners. Here they are, in no particular order:
- A “Publications Primer” was recently developed for members of the International Society of Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP).
- InScience Communications developed an interactive guide on “How to Publish Research” focusing on good practice and guidelines from professional organizations.
- A new blog series by BioMed Central titled “How to Get Published” is examining topics including planning prior to writing, tips on the process, and ways to deal with rejection.
- The third edition of “Getting Research Published: An A-Z of Publication Strategy” was just released. A useful addition to your bookshelf.
I hope you find some new, useful information in these resources that speed up your scientific publication process.
